Address: Mineral Wells Picnic Area, Griffith Park, CA

High atop Griffith Park overlooking Glendale, Burbank, and beyond, a hidden hillside garden gives refuge to those seeking a natural, open air, meditative oasis.

Park at Mineral Wells Picnic Area (GPS will recognize it) and look for the yellow security gate pictured below. Walk around the gate and up the fire road to the right of the trailhead map. It’s pretty steep at first, then flattens out to a gradual, easier incline. 10 minutes later you’ll arrive at the garden.

Once there, locate one of the nine different access trails and freely explore the hand-planted vegetation. Enjoy the view and a seat on one of the area’s well-placed benches.
