Solstice Canyon Hike

Malibu | 0 comments

Address: 3455 Solstice Canyon Rd, Malibu, CA

An effortless, half-hour hike with a waterfall & two burnt down relic homes as its main attractions. Ideal for anyone looking to get some fresh air and a little exercise; families, strollers, dog owners, first-dates, photographers, etc. Work up a little sweat before hitting the nearby beaches?

Off PCH turn onto Corral Canyon Road where the 76 gas station is. Then hang a left at the driveway around the first bend. Parking is free & plentiful – except on weekends when it can be a little difficult to find a spot.

From the time you park to the time you get to the waterfall, it’s only about 20 minutes. You’ll first come to the decimated Keller House, the oldest house in Malibu. Then a little further up the trail you’ll arrive at Tropical Terrace; the ruins of Roberts Ranch House. Look for the stairs behind the home, leading up to the lovely waterfall which flows zen-like over the rock pools and vegetation; fun photo op!

All in all, a very nice nature walk with engaging sights to see and interact with.
