Who knew there was a big, beautiful lake up in the Hollywood Hills? Those in the know either come here for exercise or an unobstructed view of the Hollywood Sign.

The address listed above takes you directly to the Mullholland Dam entrance where the iconic sign is most prominent. Parking is prohibited, so either come with a companion, Uber, or chance it with your hazards on. Walk through the gate opening as seen in the bottom left photo below, and veer left onto the bridge.

Should you wish to get in a little exercise, drive instead to the Lake Hollywood North Gate. There is no listed address but both Waze and Google recognize it by name; parking is permitted & free. From here you can begin a 3 1/2 mile loop around the lake’s flat perimeter. If you choose this entrance, then it’s highly recommended you also drive to another Hollywood Sign viewing area just around the corner: Lake Hollywood Dog Park.
