The ROW DTLA

Downtown LA | 0 comments

Address: 777 S Alameda St, Los Angeles, CA

A surreal creative community on the eastern outskirts of Downtown LA where one day soon crowds of buyers and diners will come explore its curated streets.

It’s open now, but severely under-occupied – like a movie set or Chinese ghost city seen here. Where is everyone? Quite a site to see, the district’s buildings are built, retail spaces ready to go, art and aesthetics in place, but not yet discovered nor buzzing like The Grove or Third Street Promenade.

The few indie retailers and restaurants that are here are personable, high-quality, and all looking forward to more energetic days. Some of the noteworthy boutiques include Shades of Grey by Micah Cohen, Bodega, Hightide Store, Poketo, OMAMImini, Rappahannock Oyster Bar, and others listed here.

Most definitely worth checking out. Just don’t be disappointed by its desolate vibes. Come see it’s potential and modern artistic charm – and visit those already doing business here. This place will be a “thing” before you know it. It’s super interesting and excellent for photos & “laptop commuting” / working outdoors.

Tap here for more info on the site’s former life and history.

While in the area, consider checking out Smorgasburg LA (still Covid-closed as of 4/4/2021), The Arts District, Little Tokyo, Chinatown, Union Station, Grand Central Market, and so much more – including these 24 sites listed by California Through My Lens.
