Address: 1245 N Spring St, Downtown LA, CA
Who knew there was a massive, beautiful, 32-acre park just a few blocks east of Chinatown in Downtown LA?!
It’s called Los Angeles State Historic Park and it offers endless open space to run, play, picnic, fly kites, exercise, explore, and more. There’s even a really cool cafe onsite called Cargo Snack Shack – burgers & sandwiches, salads, shakes, etc; view full menu. The park also provides a free, immersive self-guided tour via QR code; see details.

While in the area, consider checking out Highland Park Brewery (across the street), Philippe’s “French Dipped Sandwiches” (2 minutes down the street), Chinatown, Union Station, Olvera Street, the Dodger Stadium Lookout Point, and these other Best Guide LA Downtown sites.
