Wow – this place is awesome! Such an amazing cardio workout. Climbing the “Stairway to Heaven” feels more like a pilgrimage rather than a casual exercise outing.

A definite LA bucket list activity – this spot is always cookin’ with fun energy and prime people-watching.

Park for free on Jefferson. Walk to the cement Overlook sign, then take the trail behind it up and around to the foot of the stairs. Once you summit to the top you’ll be treated to incredible panoramic views of Los Angeles – from Downtown LA, to Beverly Hills, Century City, West LA, Santa Monica, Playa del Rey, and beyond.

You can either come down the same way you came up or loop around the visitor center in the back and follow the path by the driveway downhill.

Before heading home, do yourself a favor and stop at the Nicole Juicery truck (usually parked at the trailhead). Order one of the acai bowls bowls or exotic smoothies – they’re super refreshing & delicious.

While in the area, consider checking out the hip shopping mall Platform LA, legendary Culver Hotel, Museum of Jurassic Technology, Helms Bakery District, and Kenneth Hahn Recreation Area.
